Our machinery comes as part of a team. It’s not just about having the right piece of kit. It’s also about having an experienced professional who can operate it.

Knowing what you need for a job is half the battle. That’s why we’ve put together a simple step-by-step guide that’ll take you through the types of earth-moving equipment you may need on-site and how each is likely to get used.

Get to know the difference between a Dozer and a Bobcat as we take you through the Brisbane earth moving equipment we’re able to offer.

Our range of excavators can handle just about any job. To keep things simple, we’ve divided these excavators into 3 main categories, mini, midi and standard. Here’s the lowdown:

  • 1.5 Ton, 3 Ton, 6 Ton
  • 8 Ton, 10 Ton
  • 14-16 Ton, 18 Ton, 20 Ton and 30 Ton

Mini Excavators
These refer to any excavators that weigh under 7 metric tons. Also referred to as compact excavators, they’re ideal for jobs where site space is tight.

Mini excavators often have almost no tail swing. They’re easy to manoeuvre around buildings making them a great choice for landscaping jobs like boring holes for trees or building trenches to lay pipes.

Mini excavators can provide better precision than bigger digging machinery, especially for jobs with lots of underground pipes or gas lines. They’re also easy to transport and use less fuel than their larger cousins.

Since they’re lighter, mini excavators work well on softer terrain lowering the risk of potential damage to the ground underneath.

Midi Excavators
Small, midi excavators are those that weigh between 7 and 10 tons. Their small size and low tail swing make them invaluable for many of the same jobs as mini excavators, but with more reach power and dig depth.

Standard-Sized Excavators
Ours weigh from 10 to 30 metric tons. You’ll typically find these versatile excavators on most commercial construction sites. They’ll provide sufficient power and hauling capacity to handle the toughest jobs.

Some hydraulic standard excavators are also able to support a range of work tools. That allows contractors to customise their excavators to their specific project needs.

Even though they’re heavier and larger, our standard excavators are still easy to manoeuvre, significantly increasing productivity on a site. Depending on their size, reach and tail swing, some larger excavators may be more of a challenge to operate in tighter spaces.

Bobcat Hire, Skid Steer Loaders and Large Posi Tracks
We have all the latest models for bobcat hire in our earth moving equipment. Like our skid steer loaders, each comes with the top safety features available. Our bobcats come with a choice of tracks or tyres so you have the option of deciding what’s best for your own particular needs.

Each comes ready to go with a 4-in-1 Bucket and Spreader Bar attachment. Bobcats are ideal for:

  • Clean-up work
  • Site preparation
  • Earthmoving and landscaping

We’re proud to be able to offer a fleet of Skid Steer Loaders that are state-of-the-art and bang up to date. We’re able to offer Skid Steers with either tyres or tracks depending on the need of your project. Like our Bobcats, each comes ready-fitted with our 4-in-1 attachment.

Our Skid Steer Loaders are ideal for tasks that include:

  • Site clean up
  • Spreading or removing material
  • Road sweeping
  • Backfill and loading
  • Turf and slab preparation

Our large posi track is an incredibly versatile piece of earth moving equipment. It has the benefit of being able to move around different sites with a variety of ground conditions. These machines move through soft soil, sand and mud with ease making even complex jobs simple.

They can work up to twice as fast as a standard bobcat. Jobs they do well include:

  • Turf and slab preparation
  • Spreading soil, backfill and site cleanup

Body Trucks
Our body trucks are ideal for carrying everything from rocks to concrete blocks, trees and topsoil. They’re a good choice for jobs that include road base, sand and rock boulders to help in back-filling along with building retaining walls or driveways.

Our body trucks can transport our mini excavator combos. That means you’ll benefit from having an excavator and bobcat or skid steer to help with your latest project.

Water Trucks
These are a great option for washing down concrete pathways and driveways. You can even use them to water plants on an industrial scale and to fill or top up ponds, small lakes and dams.

Each comes with a wide range of attachments that include batter sprays, kerb cleaning sprays, lay-flat hoses and water cannons as well as lower road and high centre sprays.

We have 9, 12, and 25,000L water trucks in our fleet.

Dozer and Grader Hire
Our powerful D6 and D8 Dozers provide the muscle you’ll need for heavy tasks such as large-scale earthmoving, land clearing and rubbish removal. Some of our Dozer Hire machines come equipped with GPS to help accurately clear land on jobs that require absolute precision.

Our 12H and more powerful 120M Graders are great for moving a variety of materials on your worksite. They’re ideal for shifting soil, rubbish and green waste. They’re also the perfect machine for cutting, levelling and spreading material across your site.

The 120M Graders come with variable horsepower and higher torque. Both Graders are incredibly useful for preparing the land before construction or to clear away debris after a storm. Again, some of these incredible machines come with GPS.

Combos and Attachments
